I wrote JSMDOOR to keep people from using up their entire time in a
door. JSMDOOR will subtract 5 minutes from the users time by editing
their time remaining in the door.sys file. JSMDOOR does this by
subtracting 300 seconds from the seconds remaining line and 5 minutes
from the minutes remaining time. If the user has less then 5 minute
remaing, then they will be given 15 seconds. Some doors read the
minutes remaining and some use the seconds remaining.
The use of JSMDOOR is very simple, run it in the directory that the
DOOR.SYS is in.
JSMDOOR works fine on my system for Tradewars, but I have no other
doors, so I haven't been able to test it with any other doors. I
CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT WHATEVER DOORS YOU ARE RUNNING WILL NOT FREAK
OUT BECAUSE OF THIS. I personally cannot see what could make a door
lock up by using something like JSMDOOR, but I don't know how all
doors work. I would suggest you test this out before letting it go on
its own. Let me know if you have any problems with it.
REGISTRATION
You don't have to register this program, it is free. If you find
it to be useful, please take the time to register one of the fine BBS
utilities you are currently using. Be sure to tell the author of
that program that you are registering it in place of registering mine.
(I'd love to get some credit for you registering someone's program <G>)
